Our friend, Larry Smith, has been on dialysis every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for months. It’s beginning to take a toll on Larry. He needs oxygen frequently now. Also, while at Home Depot, he badly injured his hand in an accident not his fault. Larry is suffering severe pain from this as well. He needs our prayers.
Carole Noble received word that Christy did have to have her leg amputated below the knee. The doctor said it was "life-saving," but the good news is that her kidney function is already improving. The doctor feels that the blockage in her leg was affecting the circulation, which affected the kidneys! All of this happened because of a very serious heart attack! Christy and her family are very Godly people, and in the midst of it all, they are praising the Lord! How please He must be!
Harry is still receiving therapy at The Club at Lake Gibson. He has lost over 20 pounds since he was at the hospital and is very weak. He really needs our prayer support. Ann is also going through a difficult time and needs prayer. These dear people love the Lord and have been faithful to His work for many years. They are both going through discouraging times right now.
Marlene still has severe right hip pain, making it very difficult to do the daily tasks needed at home since Fred has been laid up with his back pain. Marlene is still waiting for word from the doctor regarding a date for her hip MRI.
Fred has been discharged from the hospital today (Monday). He still has severe back pain from three bulging discs, but the doctor will send him to "Pain Management" to receive cortisone injections. Please pray that this relieves his pain.
Norma is scheduled for hand surgery on May 24. This is a result of the car accident they had a while back. She is also scheduled for SI back fusion surgery on July 24. This dear saint of God needs our continued prayer support!
Sandy Siler would appreciate our prayers for her granddaughter, Hannah, who leaves for Uganda on Tuesday, May 7. She is employed by Samaritan's Purse. We are so thankful for young people who are dedicated to Kingdom work!
Sandy Siler would appreciate continued prayers for her sister-in-law, Susan, who has mobility issues. The medications have affected her eyesight, and because of her extreme weight loss, she is very weak.
Edward and Sharon Allen carry a heavy heart for their son, Kevin. Kevin has had a problem with alcohol addiction for some time, but Sharon said, "It's worse now and we need a miracle..." Please earnestly pray for Kevin and his parents!
Betty Weakland's sister, Connie, completed her radiation treatments to the brain. They will recheck her in about three months to see if the cancer is gone. She is now receiving chemotherapy because of lung cancer but is having a lot of pain in her bones. The doctor said it was a result of the radiation treatments she had for her brain cancer. She continues to need our prayers!
Jackie, Betty Weakland's daughter, had to go back to the hospital because her infection was not clearing up. She is home now and on strong antibiotics again. She has been through so much and needs our continued prayers.
Betty's husband, Joe, is scheduled to see a cardiologist on May 24 to see if they will be doing a heart valve replacement soon or if they will wait for a few months. They would appreciate our prayers for God's touch on Joe and for wisdom for the doctors.
Ed and Carol will be leaving this week to attend their son's funeral and Carol is still in pain from her recent surgery. Grief and pain make this trip so difficult. Please be in prayer for them.
Joyce went home from the hospital on Wednesday. Early this morning (Friday) she went Home again, only this time she went to see Jesus face to Face in HIS Home! She will be missed by many friends and family members. May our loving Lord give them His peace and comforting Presence during this time.
An update on Myfanwy Saunders: Myfanwy will be having chemo for the next twelve weeks. There will be a wait of three to six weeks then surgery. She will also have an infusion every three weeks for a year to kill the cancer gene that has caused this. There’s a 90% success rate. Myfanwy’s daughter, Kirsten, has turned away from the Lord having been badly hurt by “ Christians “. We know the Lord still holds her closely. She needs our prayers.
Bess reports that Pastor is "making progress with his walking." And "do keep on praying for Pastor Kirby, as there are other challenges." Both Pastor and Bess need our continued prayer support.
Donna is Janet Jones' daughter-in-law who has cancer of the lungs. They did an x-ray of the brain which revealed NO CANCER of the brain! We praise God for this! Please continue to pray for her lung cancer.
Len and Jan Nephew's son-in-law is still receiving chemotherapy treatment for cancer that has returned in the knee. He and his family appreciate our continued prayers.
Please continue to faithfully remember our church family members currently confined to nursing or rehab facilities: Danielle Wilcox, Janet Jones, and Linda Aycock. This can be a difficult and discouraging part of their lives and we must be faithful in holding them up in prayer. We love you Danielle, Janet, and Linda!
